ICSA AWARD: CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE FOR OUTDOOR COOKERY
Season Cookery School was recently awarded for their exceptional teaching standards and facilities, by our ICSA assessors.
Resident Head Chef Tutor Tom Lampitt (pictured) was presented his acclaimed award following a rigorous assessment of both the cookery school and one of his Outdoor Cookery Experiences. Both the school and outdoor cookery class achieved top marks.
Our assessor James Day commented “The facilities of the Season cookery school are second-to-non. Not only is it sympathetically set in a stunning 17th Century barn, (complete with 100 meter well!) but the equipment is state-of-the art, including newly installed Miele ovens and induction hobs, Kitchen Aid mixers, Flint and Flame Knives and of course their extensive range of Weber BBQ’s and smokers, even a wood fired pizza oven! However what is key to ICSA, are the standards of teaching provided by the Chef Tutors and their team. Tom was extremely approachable, knowledgeable and able to blend professional teaching with a relaxed atmosphere. The feedback from the students was very positive, many sharing the transferable skills they had learned and clearly enjoyed their day, as did I. We are delighted to award Tom and the team our coveted ‘ICSA Centre of Excellence Award’, specialising in Outdoor Cookery Experiences.
