Demand for non-toxic, ethical and organic food is on the rise and in a growing ethically consuming market, there is an increasing need for Chefs able to represent these values in their culinary practice. With dedicated, state-of-the-art kitchens, a culinary herb garden and aiming for zero waste, the College of Naturopathic Medicine (est. 1998) Natural Chef/Vegan Natural Chef ICSA-accredited Diploma courses meet this growing demand.
Benefitting from CNM’s 22-year track record of training successful professionals in natural health, Natural Chef students are taught to prepare delicious gourmet meals that focus on nutritional value, using whole, organic, fresh, and minimally-processed foods, procured in season.
According to Andrew Maxwell, ICSA Accreditation Assessor, “…There is a sense of leadership through inspiration. CNM has a general feel of being a ‘happy ship’. Students were clearly engaged and enjoying learning.”
With graduates such as Rosemary Ferguson and Madeleine Shaw, CNM graduates bring much needed, unique skills to the industry. Students are treated as professionals from day one and, by the time they graduate, they have all of the training, skills and education they need to go out into the workplace and succeed.
“I have found the Natural Chef course to be all I hoped it would be and much more. I am amazed that not even half way through my course I am able to cook recipes to a high standard. I love the variation of different lecturers that we have. I love cooking in this team environment and get so excited by all the different food types we cook with. It’s been eye opening. I am so grateful for the support CNM offers and really enjoy the friendly, helpful learning environment.” Suzanne Noakes, CNM Natural Chef Student.
