A Mark of Online Teaching Excellence: ‘The Natural Chef’ Cookery Courses by the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) achieve coveted online teaching award.

The Natural Chef cooking diploma, created by the College of Naturopathic Medicine ‘CNM’, has been designed to allow students who can’t attend classes at the London campus to study from the comfort of their home. CNM’s accredited online course enables students to fit study around their work schedules and personal commitments. The 9-12 month Naturopathic Chef Diploma Course has been created in conjunction by the team at The College of Naturopathic Medicine ‘CNM’ which has more than 25 years’ experience in natural health education.

Students are able to graduate as a Natural Chef wherever they are by studying online thanks to the newly developed Online Natural Chef training platform. Providing over 120 hours of professionally delivered online content, which makes up part of an extensive diploma over achieved over 840 hours study, practical application, demos and internships, underpinned by detailed literature and background study.

The Independent Cookery Schools Association (ICSA) who have been accrediting cookery schools which deliver quality in person ‘immersive’ cookery classes, courses and diploma’s at their Academy Cookery Schools, which includes the Natural Chef College in London,  has recently provided their expertise to assess the growing number of professionally created online culinary content.

James Day, Head of Operations at not-for-profit ICSA commented “Our assessments are rigorously carried out at our member schools who are either invited to join, or apply via our applications process. We focus primarily on the teaching standards of the schools, assessing the skills of the tutors, alongside successes of their students who are able to learn the key transferable skills taught during the classes and courses, we also look at their facilities, approach to seasonality, sustainability and sourcing polices. The transition to online content remains equally relevant on the teaching skills of the tutors, and their ability to communicate key messages and promote our core values.
